COMPLETE RESULTS
NEW YORK, N.Y. – Select members of the Westminster College indoor track & field teams concluded the two-day 2019 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.
Sophomore
Erin Ward (Euclid, OH / Lake Catholic) won the 800 with a school-record time of 2:20.32, breaking the program-record she set at this year's Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Indoor Championships.
Senior
Jaevon Hardy (Waldorf, MD / North Point) won the 60 with a time of 6.91. He had the fastest preliminary time of 6.87 on Friday.
Also breaking a school-record was sophomore
Selena Thomas (Farrell, PA / Farrell Area) with a third-place finish in the 200, clocking in at 26.23 – breaking Haley Gabor's record (26.44). Thomas also placed fifth in the 60 (8.04).
Sophomore
Dalton Anderson (Butler, PA / Moniteau), the school's first-ever heptathlete, finished third in the heptathlon with 4,204 points. In his seven events, Anderson claimed three second-place finishes: shot put (34-00.00/ 10.36m), 60 hurdles (9.07), and the 1,000 (3:01.12). He added a seventh-place finish in the non-heptathlon 60 hurdles (9.00).
Overall, the Titan women finished eighth out of 22 schools with 25 points. The Titan men placed 15
th out of 26 schools with 18 points.
The ECAC Championships were held at New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory.
The 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Nationals take place starting on Friday, March 8 in Boston, Mass. The University of Massachusetts Boston is hosting the two-day event.
