ERIE, Pa. – The Westminster College men's tennis team opened its 2019 season at Penn State Behrend on Saturday. The Titans lost, 6-3, in the non-conference match.
Titan sophomore
Miguel Ascencio (Venitia, PA / Peters Township) won no. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Ascencio also teamed up with freshman
Logan Mannhiermer (South Park, PA / South Park) for an 8-5 no. 1 doubles victory. Sophomore
Alex Georgescu (Hermitage, PA / Hickory) was victorious at no. 2 singles, 7-5, 6-1.
Penn State Behrend improved to 3-3.
Westminster (0-1) will next compete at Mount Aloysius College on Sunday, March 3 at 1 p.m.
