KENT, Ohio – The Westminster College men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the Kent State Tune Up Saturday afternoon.
For the Titan men, first-year
Jonathan Micsky (Greenville, PA / Greenville) placed third in the pole vault with a jump of 13 feet 7.25 inches (4.15m), while junior
Hunter Cox (Clinton, PA / South Side) finished fifth with a height of 13 feet 1.5 inches (4m). First-year
Amon Sams (Chantilly, VA / John Champe) finished the 60 with a time of 7.34, good for 36th out of 77, while junior
Bryce Hill (Boynton Beach, FL / Boca Raton Community) finished 39th (7.34). Junior C.J. Hilbert (Alliance, OH / Marlington) finished the 28th out of 51 in the 400 (53.21).
For the Titan women, first-year
Morgan Gossard (Johnstown, PA / Richland) finished fifth in the pole vault in fifth with a vault of 12 feet 7.5 inches (3.85m). Sophomore
Erin Ward (Euclid, OH / Lake Catholic) crossed the finish line ninth out of 43 runners in the 800 (2:24.15). Sophomore
Selena Thomas (Farrell, PA / Farrell Area) competed in three events, with her top finish being 12th out of 50 in the long jump with a career-best distance of 16 feet, 10.5 inches (5.14m). Thomas also added a 19th out of 73 finish in the 60 (8.11) and a 29th out of 82 finish in the 200 (26.86).
Westminster will next compete in the President's Athletic Conference Indoor Championships at Youngstown State University on Thursday, February 21.
