GENEVA, Ohio – The Westminster College men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the Spire Great Lakes Invitational Friday and Saturday.
For the Titan men, senior
Jaevon Hardy (Waldorf, MD / North Point) placed third out of 100 in the 60-meter run with a time of 6.91 seconds. Hardy also finished fourth out of 123 in the 200-meter run with a time of 22.31 seconds. First-year
Amon Sams (Chantilly, VA / John Champe) finished 14
th in the 60-meter run with a time of 7.18 seconds. Sams also finished 47
th in the 200-meter run with a time of 23.48 seconds. In the pole vault, junior
Tim Maxwell (Washington, PA / McGuffey) finished in fourth out of 17 with a career-best jump of 15 feet and .25 of an inch (4.58m). In the weight throw, junior
Austin Chin (Boca Raton, FL / West Boca Raton) finished 17
th out of 37 with a distance of 38 feet and 9 inches (11.83m).
For the Titan women, sophomore
Selena Thomas (Farrell, PA / Farrell Area) finished 27
th out of 117 in the 200-meter run with a time of 26.99 seconds. Thomas also finished 29
th out of 82 in the 60-meter run with a time of 8.25 seconds. Junior
Katie Schrantz (New Castle, PA / Neshannock) finished the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:28.38 which was good for 33
rd out of 77. In the pole vault, first-year
Morgan Gossard (Johnstown, PA / Richland) placed third out of 16 with a jump of 11 feet and 6.5 inches (3.52m).
