YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Westminster College men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the Youngstown State University Icebreaker on Friday.

For the Titan men, junior Tim Maxwell (Washington, PA / McGuffey) placed second in the pole vault with career-best jump of 14 feet and 8.25 inches (4.48m).  Senior Jaevon Hardy (Waldorf, MD / North Point) finished fourth in the 60-meter run with a time of 6.93.

For the Titan women, first-year Morgan Gossard (Johnstown, PA / Richland) finished fifth in the pole vault with a jump of 11 feet and 10.5 inches (3.62m).  Sophomore Erin Ward (Euclid, OH / Lake Catholic) finished 16th out of 32 runners in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:27.87.

Westminster will next compete in the Seventh Annual Akron Pole Vault Convention on Sunday, Jan. 13 and at the Spire Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 19.
