Women's Soccer: UPG No Match for Westminster in 7-0 Rout

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team cruised to a 7-0 win over non-conference foe Pitt-Greensburg Wednesday night at Harold Burry Stadium.

Westminster senior Lauren Graeser (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) and junior Sarah Nee (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) each scored a pair of goals, while junior Danielle Struble (Curwensville, Pa./Curwensville) scored the game-winner in the ninth minute and assisted on another goal.

Graeser now owns the team lead with four goals on only eight shots this season. Struble and Nee each have three goals on the season on 33 and 22 shots, respectively.

Other Westminster goal-scorers vs. Pitt-Greensburg included freshman Leah Murphy (Fombell, Pa./Riverside) and sophomore Samantha Killmeyer (Medina, Ohio/Highland).

Westminster outshot the Bobcats, 29-2.

The Titans improve to 6-2 with their sixth straight win, while the Bobcats drop to 1-7.

Westminster will host Baldwin-Wallace on Saturday at 4 p.m.
