Four earn All-PAC honors

TRAFFORD, Pa.--The Westminster College women's soccer program had four of its players honored with All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) recognition Wednesday night.

Junior Giulianna Russell (Kinston, N.C., Wayne Christian) was a Second Team All-PAC selection while seniors Amanda Lewis (Slippery Rock, Pa., Slippery Rock), Emma Maloberti (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley) and Morgan Murphy (Yardley, Pa., Villa Joseph Marie) were named Honorable Mention All-PAC.

Russell, a defender, was named All-PAC for the first time in her career. Starting 16-of-17 matches this season, she netted three goals.. Two of her three goals were game-winners, one in a 2-0 win over Hiram and the other in a 2-1 come-from-behind win over visiting Bethany on Oct. 25.

Lewis, a forward, was named All-PAC for the first time in her career. She started all 17 matches this season and finished with two goals and three assists for seven points. Lewis scored the game-winning goal in Westminster's 9-0 win at Thiel. She assisted on all three of Russell's goals this season. Lewis concluded her collegiate career with 10 goals (2 game-winners) and 10 assists for 30 points in 51 career matches.

Maloberti, a midfielder, was named Honorable Mention All-PAC for the second-straight year. She started 14 of 15 matches played this season and finished with one goal.

Murphy, a goalkeeper, was an All-PAC selection for the fourth time in her career (First Team All-PAC 2022, 2023, 2024). She started in all 17 matches this season and finished with 93 saves and three shutouts, averaging 1.48 goals per game (GAA). She claimed United Soccer Coaches All-America honors in December 2023, securing a spot on the Third Team. In 68 career starts, Murphy finished with a 39-22-7 record while sporting a 1.12 GAA, an .830 save percentage and 16 shutouts.

Senior Taylor Jones (Trafford, Pa., Penn-Trafford) was recognized as a member of the PAC's Sportsmanship Team. The PAC Sportsmanship Teams were established to recognize student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior and are an ongoing effort to recognize and encourage positive sportsmanship among all PAC teams.

Westminster wrapped up its season with a 3-9-5 overall record and a PAC record of 3-5-3.
