Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Westminster concludes season with draw

WASHINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College women's soccer team wrapped up its 2025 campaign with a 2-2 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) draw at Washington & Jefferson Wednesday evening at Alexandre Stadium.

Westminster finished with a 3-9-5 overall record and a 3-5-3 record in the PAC. W&J now has a record of 6-9-3 overall and 3-5-3 in the league.

Scoreless through the first half, senior Amanda Lewis (Slippery Rock, Pa., Slippery Rock) delivered a corner kick into the box in the 54th minute, where junior Giulianna Russell's (Kinston, N.C., Wayne Christian) header gave the Titans a 1-0 lead. Lewis has assisted on all three of Russell's goals this season.

Exactly 20 seconds later, W&J's Katelyn Burley delivered a corner kick of her own that connected with Alexa Taylor to level the match at 1-all.

With 10 minutes to go in the match, senior Emma Maloberti (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley) corralled a loose ball at the top of the 18-yard area before ripping a left-footed score. It was her first goal this season.

Three minutes later, Kendall Obley scored off an assist from Selah Calacan to bring tie the game at 2-2.

Senior Morgan Murphy (Yardley, Pa., Villa Joseph Marie) made five saves. Gianna Patterson had eight saves for W&J.

Westminster outshot W&J 19-15 and had a 10-7 advantage in shots on goal. Westminster was awarded 10 corner kicks while W&J took six.
