NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team improved to 9-4-1 overall and 2-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) with a 6-1 win over Chatham at home on Saturday. Chatham falls to 4-6 overall and 1-2 in the league.
Sophomore Samantha Killmeyer (Medina, Ohio/Highland) scored two goals, including the eventual game-winner, as she now has six goals on the year. Other Westminster goal-scorers included senior Lauren Graeser (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson), sophomore Brittany Grabski (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell), junior Sarah Nee (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) and junior Danielle Struble (Curwensville, Pa./Curwensville). Nee's goal was her team-leading 10th of the season.
Ashley Kostial scored the lone goal for Chatham to make 4-1 early in the second half.
Freshman goalkeeper Jenn Cantella (Freedom, Pa./Freedom) made one save in the first half, then played the field in the second half where she assisted on Killmeyer's second goal in the 77th minute.
Westminster held a 45-5 shot advantage.
The Titans host Saint Vincent on Monday at 8 p.m.
