PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team posted its second straight shutout win Wednesday as the Titans won at La Roche, 5-0, in non-conference action.
Freshman midfielder Samantha Killmeyer (Medina, Ohio/Highland) scored two goals, her fifth and sixth of the season. Killmeyer scored the second goal of the game, assisted on the third goal by Abby Montgomery (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) and scored the game's final goal.
Senior forward Christina Adams (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) scored the game-winning goal on an assist from sophomore Sarah Nee (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township). Adams' goal gives her a team-leading eight for the season, five of which were game-winners.
Junior Lauren Graeser (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) scored the game's fourth goal for her third of the season.
Junior goalkeeper Lindsey Mellott (Cortland, Ohio/Lakeview) and freshman Kara Kendall (New Wilmington, Pa./Wilmington) combined for the shutout with 17 and 73 minutes in net, respectively.
Westminster held a 13-7 shooting advantage.
The Titans return to action at Baldwin-Wallace Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
