MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team absorbed its first loss in its last six matches after losing at Allegheny, 2-1, in overtime on Tuesday.
The Titans (4-2-1) broke a scoreless tie in the 51st minute when freshman midfielder Samantha Killmeyer (Medina, Ohio/Highland) scored off an assist from sophomore forward Sarah Nee (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township).
Allegheny (1-4-1) sent the game to overtime on Abby Silvester's goal in the 80th minute from Ashley Miller. Becky Arndt potted the game-winner at 94:55 in overtime, beating Westminster goalkeeper Lindsey Mellott (Cortland, Ohio/Lakeview) who made six saves during the game.
The Gators held an 18-5 shot advantage.
Westminster returns to action at Pitt-Greensburg on Sept. 18 at 4 p.m.
