Women's Soccer: Titans All Over La Roche for Third Straight Shutout

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team remains unbeaten after beating visiting La Roche, 6-0, Saturday in non-conference action for its third straight shutout.

The Titans (3-0-1) allowed just one shot against La Roche (1-2-1), as Westminster has now given up just nine shots during its last three clean sheets.

Complimenting the stout back line for the Titans was a potent offense that converted six goals on 29 shots vs. La Roche.

Junior midfielder Christina Adams (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) and sophomore forward Lauren Graeser (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) led Westminster by scoring two goals apiece. Adams' two goals were her first two of the season after leading the team with 13 goals a year ago. Graeser's goals were her second and third of the year.

The Titans got on the board when freshman midfielder Hannah Schade (Timberlake, Ohio/Villa-Angela St. Joseph) scored her team-high fourth goal of the season in the seventh minute.

Freshman forward Sarah Nee (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) assisted on the first two Titan goals and buried her first collegiate goal in the 71st minute to give her four points for the game.

Westminster returns to action at Lake Erie on Sept. 12 for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
