GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team picked up a key 2-0 win at Grove City Saturday as the Titans remain in first place in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) with a 12-3-2 overall record and a perfect league mark of 5-0. The Wolverines fell to 13-2-1 overall and 4-2 in the PAC.
The game remained scoreless through 59 minutes until Westminster senior defender/midfielder Kristen Martin (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) netted the game-winner with her fourth goal of the season.
Junior midfielder Christina Adams (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) added an insurance goal in the 61st minute for her team-high 12th tally of the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Lindsey Mellott (Cortland, Ohio/Lakeview) made five saves for her sixth shutout of the season and the team's 12th.
Westminster hosts Chatham Wednesday at 4 p.m.
