GREENSBURG, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team scored five goals for a second straight match as the Titans shutout Pitt-Greensburg, 5-0, on the road in non-conference action on Thursday.
Junior forward Mallory Bugel (Valencia, Pa./Mars) scored a pair of goals giving her four in the last two matches and five on the season. Bugel opened the scoring in just the fourth minute on assists from sophomore midfielder Christina Adams (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) and junior defender Anna Sparacino (Verona, Pa./Saint Joseph) before netting an unassisted goal in the 68th minute.
Adams and Sparacino also assisted on a goal by sophomore midfielder Abby Montgomery (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) in the seventh minute.
Other goal scorers for the Titans were Kait Etzel-Hardman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) with her first of the season and freshman Lauren Graeser (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) with her second.
Freshman goalkeeper Lindsey Mellott (Cortland, Ohio/Lakeview) registered the shutout making just one save as the Titans outshot the Bobcats, 26-5.
Westminster (4-3-1) returns to action Saturday, Sept. 30, at Waynesburg.
