Rock collects PAC Newcomer of the Week honors

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster freshman Aubrey Rock (Butler, Pa., Butler) was named a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week Tuesday afternoon.

Rock, the PAC's Newcomer of the Week, earned a first-place finish in the pole vault Friday at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational. Coming off an eighth-place, All-America finish at the Division III Indoor Championships on March 19, Rock cleared 3.86 meters (12-08) to top the 21-competitor field. The mark ranks No. 4 in Division III this season.

This is the first PAC weekly award of Rock's career.

Up Next:
Westminster is scheduled to compete at the Dave Labor Invitational, hosted by Slippery Rock, next Friday and Saturday at the William C. Lennox Track inside Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. Friday's events will begin at 1:30 p.m. Events will get underway at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
