Reed named PAC Pitcher of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster senior Josh Reed (Beaver Falls, Pa., Blackhawk) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Pitcher of the Week Monday afternoon.

This is Reed's first career PAC weekly honor.

Reed highlighted Sunday's PAC sweep of Saint Vincent by firing a one-hit shutout with a career-high seven strikeouts in the 6-0 game two victory. He allowed two baserunners all game. Reed retired 14-straight batters after Lane Golkosky's first inning, one-out single and finished the game retiring 12 straight. The 103-pitch outing was Reed's second win this season.

Westminster (15-5, 6-0 PAC) hosts Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Geneva Saturday. First pitch of the nine-inning doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m.
