Anthony named PAC Newcomer of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster freshman Kylie Anthony (Harrison City, Pa., Penn-Trafford) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Softball Newcomer of the Week Monday afternoon.

This is the first PAC weekly honor of her career.

Anthony hit .368 (7-19) with five doubles, three RBIs and five runs scored last week for 4-4 Westminster. She went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, a walk, two RBIs and a run scored in Friday's 7-6 come-from-behind win over Carthage. Anthony's two-out, RBI base hit in the seventh tied the game at 6-6.

Anthony is hitting .381 in eight games (8 starts) this season.

Westminster (5-5) is scheduled to host Pitt-Bradford Wednesday. Game one's first pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
