Nigliazzo, Robinson named PAC Players of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster senior Kyler Nigliazzo (Montgomery, Texas, Magnolia West) and freshman Brendan Robinson (Gainesville, Va., Gainesville) were named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week Monday afternoon.

Nigliazzo earned PAC Offensive Player of the Week honors while Robinson was selected as the PAC Newcomer of the Week. These are the first weekly awards for both players.

Nigliazzo finished with seven points on four goals and three assists in a pair of overtime wins last week. He had goal and two assists in Wednesday's 10-9 win at Shenandoah. Nigliazzo's goal with under five minutes left in regulation tied the game at 9-9. He had three goals and an assist in Saturday's 12-11 win at Marymount. Nigliazzo assisted on junior Grady Tierney's (Clear Lake Shores, Texas, Houston Christian) game-winning score.

Robinson had seven points on four goals and three assists last week. He had a goal and an assist Wednesday at Shenandoah. Robinson's goal with just over five minutes to go in regulation cut the Hornets' lead to one, 9-8. He later assisted on Nigliazzo's game-tying goal. Robinson totaled five points on three goals and a pair of assists Saturday at Marymount. It was his second three-goal game this season.

Westminster will host Albright Wednesday night for its annual Morgan's Message Dedication Game. The opening faceoff from the UPMC Sports Complex is scheduled for 7 p.m.
