Steimle named to USILA Team of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Westminster sophomore Jack Steimle (Mount Sinai, N.Y., Mount Sinai) was recently named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week.

The USILA released its 2026 Division III Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades on April 20. Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.

In Westminster's wins against Thiel (April 15) and Washington & Jefferson (April 18), Steimle went a perfect 33-of-33 from the faceoff X and picked up 25 ground balls. He went 17-of-17 and finished with 12 ground balls in a 27-0 win at Thiel before going 16-of-16 and picking up a career-high 16 ground balls in a 20-3 win against W&J.

Up next:
Westminster will host No. 5 Franciscan (8-8, 5-4 PAC) in the quarterfinal round of the PAC Championship Tournament Saturday. The opening faceoff from the UPMC Sports Complex is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday will mark the program's first-ever home playoff game.
