Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Westminster earns OT win at Shenandoah

WINCHESTER, Va.--Sophomore Ethan Kurtz (Hummelstown, Pa., Lower Dauphin) finished with a pair of goals, including the game-winning score with just under two minutes remaining in overtime, to lead the Westminster men's lacrosse team to a 10-9 triumph at Shenandoah Wednesday afternoon on Glo Fiber Field at Shentel Stadium.

Westminster snapped a three-game losing streak with the win, improving to 2-4 this season. It was the program's first overtime win since March 22, 2025, an 11-10, three overtime victory at Manhattanville.

Trailing 9-5 after three quarters, Westminster used four-straight goals from junior Tyler Evangelista (Glenshaw, Pa., Shaler), Kurtz, freshman Brendan Robinson (Gainesville, Va., Gainesville) and senior Kyler Nigliazzo (Montgomery, Texas, Magnolia West), and a terrific save by senior Jorden Tate (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley) with under 40 seconds left, to tie the game at 9-all and force overtime.

Nigliazzo, Evangelista and junior Grady Tierney (Clear Lake Shores, Texas, Houston Christian) had two goals and an assist each. Robinson scored once and added a pair of assists.

Sophomore Jack Steimle (Mount Sinai, N.Y., Mount Sinai) went 10-for-19 on faceoffs. Sophomore Tanner Crosby (Park City, Utah, Park City) and freshman Adam Teixera (Sparta, N.J., Sparta) gathered five ground balls each. Teixera had two caused turnovers while Crosby had one. Tate registered 10 saves and added three ground balls in the win.

Westminster outshot Shenandoah 47-37 and had a 26-19 shots-on-goal advantage. The Titans went 24-of-27 on clears.

Up Next:
Westminster will take on Marymount (2-5) Saturday. The opening faceoff from Long Bridge Park is scheduled for 12 p.m.
