Puhala named PAC Newcomer of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Freshman Zoe Puhala (Brockway, Pa., Brockway) was selected as the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Indoor Track and Field Newcomer of the Week Tuesday afternoon.

This is her first time earning a PAC weekly award.

Puhala finished 25th in the 800 (2:36.47) and 48th in the mile (5:54.94) at Akron's Seventh Annual Al Campbell Invitational last Friday. Her 800 time ranks sixth in the PAC so far this season, while her time in the mile ranks 11th.

Up next:
Westminster will travel to Geneva, Ohio on Saturday to compete in the SPIRE Midwest Invitational. Events are scheduled to get underway at 9:30 a.m.
