Harrell named PAC Player of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster College's DJ Harrell (Cleveland, Ohio, East Technical) was named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Week Monday afternoon.

This is the first PAC weekly citation of Harrell's career.

Harrell helped lead Westminster to a pair of conference wins last week, averaging 29.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in victories over Grove City and Saint Vincent. He has scored 20 or more points six times this season, including the last five-straight games. Harrell had 27 points in Wednesday's 65-59 triumph at Grove City before pouring in a career-high 32 points during Saturday's 89-83 overtime win against Saint Vincent. He shot 52.6 percent (20-38) from the floor and went 17-of-21 (.810) from the free throw line.

Harrell's 18.9 points per game average is tied for second-best in the league.

Up next:
Westminster is set to host Hiram Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. It will be the first meeting between the two schools since Nov. 21, 2015, a 94-91 Terriers' win in New Wilmington. Saturday, Hiram (5-9, 1-3 PAC) secured an 88-83 home win over Bethany.
