Women's cross country finishes 10th in Meadville

MEADVILLE, Pa.--The Westminster College women's cross country team finished 10th at the Allegheny Classic Saturday morning. 

Slippery Rock claimed the team title at the 12-team, six-kilometer event, finishing with 39 points. Carnegie Mellon graduate student Chloe Bonson won the individual title after posting a time of 22 minutes, 49 seconds. 

Saint Francis finished second with 53 points and Geneva was third (79). Westminster totaled 279 team points. 

Senior Monica Curtis (Harborcreek, Pa., Harbor Creek) finished 42nd with a time of 27:06 while freshman Gabby Armlin (Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburg Central) was 51st (27:50). Sophomore Alexis Lefoer (Canfield, Ohio, Canfield) was 58th (29:06) and was followed by freshmen Callie Reaugh (Blairsville, Pa., River Valley) and Abigail Perrine (Grove City, Pa., Grove City), who finished 61st and 67th, respectively. Reaugh's time was 29:41 and Perrine's time was 31:05.

Up Next:
Westminster will participate in the Youngstown State Invitational next Saturday. The meet, scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m., will be held at the Gorby Family Cross Country Course located on the Mill Creek MetroParks Farm.
