Women's Cross Country

Titans compete at Carnegie Mellon

CLINTON, Pa.--The Westminster College women's cross country team competed at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational Saturday morning at Youthtowne in Allegheny County. 

Edinboro claimed the team title at the 19-team, five-kilometer event, finishing with 54 points. Glenville State's Natalia Barr won the individual title after posting a time of 17 minutes, 06.70 seconds. Ashland was second with 86 points and Slippery Rock was third with 92 points. Westminster was 18th with 510 points. 

Senior Monica Curtis (Harborcreek, Pa., Harbor Creek) finished 77th with a time of 19:45.70 and sophomore Alexis Lefoer (Canfield, Ohio, Canfield) was 94th with a time of 20:39.90. Freshman Callie Reaugh (Blairsville, Pa., River Valley) finished 108th (21:37.20), freshman Abigail Perrine (Grove City, Pa., Grove City) finished 110th (21:52.00) and freshman Faith Giannamore (Albion, Pa., Northwestern) was 121st (30:04.50).

Up Next:
Westminster will compete at Oberlin's Inter-Regional Rumble next Saturday. The eight-kilometer meet, scheduled to get underway at 10:30 a.m., will be contested at the North Field Cross Country Course.
