Westminster women finish ninth at PAC Championships

MEADVILLE, Pa.--The Westminster College women's cross country program finished in ninth place at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships Saturday afternoon.

The 10-team, 116-runner event was hosted by Allegheny at the Robertson Athletic Complex. 

Washington & Jefferson and Geneva each finished with 59 points to earn a share of the PAC team title. It was the first team championship for both programs. Westminster totaled 239 points. Geneva's Carmen Medvit won the PAC's individual title, finishing the six-kilometer race with a time of 22 minutes, 32.40 seconds. 

Senior Monica Curtis (Harborcreek, Pa., Harbor Creek) finished 32nd with a time of 26:03.00 and sophomore Alexis Lefoer (Canfield, Ohio, Canfield) was 46th with a time of 26:37.60. Freshman Gabby Armlin (Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburg Central) was 60th (27:45.90) and freshman Callie Reaugh (Blairsville, Pa., River Valley) was 67th (28:14.60). Freshman Abigail Perrine (Grove City, Pa., Grove City) finished 88th (29:46.20) to round out the Titans' scoring five. 

Junior Madison Mamula (New Brighton, Pa., New Brighton) finished 106th (32:09.40), freshman Faith Giannamore (Albion, Pa., Northwestern) was 108th (32:25.20) and freshman Emma Zorn (Butler, Pa., Slippery Rock) was 114th (33:55.70). 

Up next:
Westminster is scheduled to compete at the Grove City Twilight (5K) on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
