Curtis wins at Grove City

GROVE City, Pa.--Westminster College senior Monica Curtis (Harborcreek, Pa., Harbor Creek) ran to a first-place finish the Grove City Twilight Friday.

The five-kilometer event was held at Robert E. Thorn Field. Curtis won the six-competitor event with a time of 19 minutes, 39.06 seconds. She was the runner-up last year with a time of 19:54.18.

Freshmen Gabby Armlin (Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburg Central), Callie Reaugh (Blairsville, Pa., River Valley) and Abigail Perrine (Grove City, Pa., Grove City) finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively. Armlin crossed the line with a time of 20:57.49, Reaugh was timed at of 21:50.93 and Perrine finished with a time of 22:09.60.
