Morgan named season's first PAC Newcomer of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster College freshman CeCe Morgan (Fairview, Pa., Cathedral Prep) claimed the season's first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Golf Newcomer of the Week award on Tuesday.

Morgan finished in a three-way tie for 10th place with senior Alyssa Rapp (Poland, Ohio, Cardinal Mooney) and junior Katie Rose Rankin (Sewickley, Pa., North Allegheny) after carding an 84 at Monday's Youngstown State Kickoff, which was played at Mill Creek Golf Course's North course. Westminster finished second with a 342. Morgan made her collegiate debut in the 34-player event as an individual.

Westminster will travel to Olivet's Kyle Campbell Memorial Tournament this Friday and Saturday. The two-day event is being held at the Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Mich.
