Westminster finishes seventh at Kyle Campbell Memorial

MARSHALL, Mich.--The Westminster College women's golf team finished in seventh place Saturday at the University of Olivet's Kyle Campbell Memorial Tournament. 

The two-day, 16-team event was held at the Medalist Golf Club, a links-style course situated on 300 acres of rolling wooded land and wetlands in South Central Michigan. Kalamazoo won the team title with a team score of 638, shooting a 309 Saturday after Friday's 329. Trine's Rylee Smith was the medalist after carding a seven-over 151 in the 84-player individual event. 

Westminster registered a team score of 692, following up Friday's 345 with a second round 347. 

Junior Katie Rose Rankin (Sewickley, Pa., North Allegheny) finished in a three-way tie for 15th with a two-round score of 166. She shot an 81 Saturday after an opening-round 85. Senior Alyssa Rapp (Poland, Ohio, Cardinal Mooney) tied four other players for 25th after posting a 171. She followed up Friday's 86 with an 85 on Saturday. Sophomore Ava Liburdi (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) was 33rd with a two-day total of 173, shooting a day two 89 after Friday's 84. Freshman CeCe Morgan (Fairview, Pa., Cathedral Prep) finished in a four-way tie for 55th after a two-day score of 183. She shot a 90 on Friday and a 93 Saturday. Freshman Brooke Hart (Meadville, Pa., Meadville), Westminster No. 5, and freshman Madey Myers (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory), competing as an individual, tied for 66th after finishing their two rounds with a 190. Hart carded a 92 Saturday after an opening round 98, while Myers followed Friday's opening-round 97 with a 93 Saturday. 

Senior Olivia Kana (North Huntingdon, Pa., Greensburg Central Catholic), competing as an individual, was one of three players to tie for 59th after registering a 184, shooting a second round 90 after her opening round 94. 

Up Next:
Westminster will participate in the Saint Vincent Invitational Monday. The event, which is being hosted by the Latrobe Country Club, is scheduled to get underway at 11 a.m.
