Fasick runner-up at Allegheny

MEADVILLE, Pa.--Senior Dane Fasick (New Brighton, Pa., New Brighton) finished as the runner-up in the 800 meters Thursday afternoon at the Marty Goldberg Invitational, hosted by Allegheny College.

Fasick posted a time of 2 minutes, 05.48 seconds.

Freshman Rylan Dye (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) tied for first in the high jump, clearing 1.82 meters (5-11.75). Sophomore Jake Mull (Apollo, Pa., Apollo-Ridge) registered a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.52 meters (21-4.75).

Sophomore Jack Crider (Apollo, Pa., Kiski) finished fourth in the discus with a personal-best throw of 43.56 meters (142-11) and fifth in the shot put with a mark of 12.61 meters (41-4.50). It came on his first attempt. Sophomore Kyle Crown (Lake Milton, Ohio, McDonald) was seventh in the shot, with a third attempt throw of 12.53 meters (41-1.25) while sophomore Bryce Carroll (Sharon, Pa., Sharon) finished eighth in the shot with a top throw of 11.21 meters (36-9.25) on his opening attempt.

Up Next:
Westminster will compete in the Harrison Dillard Twilight, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University, on Friday. Events are scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m.
