Hankerson, Dale win at PAC Championships

Hankerson named PAC Newcomer of the Year

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.--Westminster College freshman Aaron Hankerson (Reidsville, Ga., Robert Toombs Christian Academy) and sophomore Isaiah Dale (Claysville, Pa., McGuffey) each ran to individual titles at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday. 

The two-day event was once again held at the Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park. 

Grove City College won the title at the 11-team, 19-event championship for the second-straight year, totaling 157 points. Allegheny College was second with 117.50 and Washington & Jefferson was third with 102. Westminster finished fifth with 89. 

Hankerson won the 100 meters with a time of 10.66 seconds. He was also runner-up in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 21.72. Hankerson was voted the league's Newcomer of the Year for the second time this year, also earning the honor at the conclusion of the PAC Indoor Championships in February.  

Dale won the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 56.72 and was fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 16.43. 

Sophomore Jake Mull (Apollo, Pa., Apollo-Ridge) was runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 15.83. He was also runner-up in the long jump with personal-best mark of 6.87 meters (22-06.50) and seventh in the 200 with a time of 23.04. Freshman Rylan Dye (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) was runner-up in the high jump after clearing 1.86 meters (6-01.25). Sophomore Jack Crider (Apollo, Pa., Kiski) was runner-up in the discus with a top throw of 42.67 meters (140-00). He was third in the shot put with a personal-best mark of 14.09 meters (46-02.75).

Sophomore Kyle Crown (Lake Milton, Ohio, McDonald) finished sixth in the discus with throw of 40.21 meters (131-11). 

Westminster's 4x100-meter relay finished third with a season-best time of 41.79. Members of the relay included Dale, Mull, junior Benjamin White (Warren, Pa., Warren) and Hankerson. The Titans' 4x400-meter relay was sixth with a season-best time of 3:30.22. Relay members were Dale, sophomore Dalton Koehler (Chardon, Ohio, Fairport Harding), junior Justin Redilla (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley) and sophomore Dennis Jones (West Middlesex, Pa., West Middlesex).

Up Next:
Westminster will compete at the Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational, hosted by Allegheny College, next Thursday in Meadville.
