Davis equals program record in long jump at Spire

GENEVA, Ohio--Graduate student Breannda Davis (Streetsboro, Ohio, Streetsboro) tied her school record in the long jump at SPIRE's NCAA Last Chance Monday afternoon.

Davis' first-place mark of 5.64 meters (18-06) came on her final attempt, tying her existing program record that was set at the Walsh University Tune-Up on April 24. She also finished second in the high jump, clearing 1.58 meters (5-02.25).

Junior Shelby Rambo (East Palestine, Ohio, Crestview) was first in the discus with a top throw of 41.55 meters (136-04) and second in the shot put with a best mark of 12.56 meters (41-02.50). Junior Monica Curtis (Harborcreek, Pa., Harbor Creek) was first in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12 minutes, 45.35 seconds. Junior Missy Treharne (Burton, Ohio, Beaumont School) finished fourth in the pole vault, clearing 3.05 meters (10-00).
