Westminster competes at SPIRE Last Chance

GENEVA, Ohio--Nine members of the Westminster College men's outdoor track and field program competed at SPIRE's NCAA Last Chance Monday afternoon. 

The Titans had four middle-distance runners finish first through fourth in the 800 meters. Sophomore Dalton Koehler (Chardon, Ohio, Fairport Harding) was first with a time of 2 minutes, 03.22 seconds, followed by sophomore Dennis Jones (West Middlesex, Pa., West Middlesex) in second with a time of 2:04.36. Junior Justin Redilla (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley) was third with a time of 2:04.99 and senior Dane Fasick (New Brighton, Pa., New Brighton) was fourth with a time of 2:05.54. 

Sophomore Isaiah Dale (Claysville, Pa., McGuffey) was first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.47 and second in the 110-meter hurdles (17.08). Freshman Rylan Dye (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) was second in the high jump, clearing 1.94 meters (6-04.50). Sophomore Kyle Crown (Lake Milton, Ohio, McDonald) finished third in the shot put with a top mark of 13.36 meters (43-10). 

Freshman Aaron Hankerson (Reidsville, Ga., Robert Toombs Christian Academy) and junior Ben White (Warren, Pa., Warren) were second and ninth, respectively, in the preliminaries of the 100 meters, with Hankerson posting a time of 11.03 and White crossing the line in 11.66. Both qualified for the final but did not start. 

Up Next:
Westminster is scheduled to participate in the University of Mount Union's Last Chance on Thursday, with events beginning at 1 p.m.
