Dale wins at Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa.--A limited number of members from Westminster College's men's outdoor track and field program competed at the Grove City College Mini-Invitational Wednesday at Robert E. Thorn Field.

Westminster took the top three spots in the 400-meter hurdles. Sophomore Isaiah Dale (Claysville, Pa., McGuffey) was first with a time of 59.23 seconds, junior Gino Piraino (Export, Pa., Franklin Regional) was second with a time of 1:00.24 and sophomore Dennis Jones (West Middlesex, Pa., West Middlesex) was third with a time of 1:00.91. All three registered career-best times Wednesday. Dale's time of 59.23 is currently tied for second-best in the league this spring.

Sophomore Dalton Koehler (Chardon, Ohio, Fairport Harding) was fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:03.30 while junior Justin Redilla (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley) finished sixth with a personal-best time of 2:04.05.

Up Next:
Westminster will participate in the John Papa Invitational, hosted by Slippery Rock University, Thursday. Events are scheduled to get underway at noon.
