5/28/2025 9:41:00 AM

NEW ORLEANS--Westminster College freshmen Rylan Dye (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) and Aaron Hankerson (Reidsville, Ga., Robert Toombs Christian Academy) were recently announced as All-Region honorees by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Top-five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team. Data is compiled based on the Regional Track and Field Rating Index (TFRI), a system used by the USTFCCCA to objectively rank NCAA track and field teams. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.

Dye, a high jumper, tied Salisbury University freshman Jadon Gaines for the fourth-best jump in the Mid-Atlantic region this season, clearing an outdoor-best 1.95 meters (6-04.75) at Slippery Rock University's John Papa Invitational on April 17. He was the runner-up at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Championships after clearing 1.86 meters (6-01.25).

Hankerson registered the fourth-best 100-meter time in the Mid-Atlantic this year, posting a personal-best time of 10.51 seconds at the Walsh University Tune-Up on April 24. At the PAC Championships, he won the 100 with a time of 10.66 and finished as the runner-up in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 21.72. Hankerson was voted the league's Newcomer of the Year for the second time this year, also earning the honor at the conclusion of the PAC Indoor Championships in February.

Westminster finished in fifth place with 89 points at the PAC Outdoor Championships. The two-day event was once again held at Mylan Park in Morgantown, West Virginia.
