Rock earns PAC Newcomer of the Week award

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Freshman Aubrey Rock (Butler, Pa., Butler) was selected as a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week Tuesday afternoon. She was named the season's first newcomer of the week after scoring a third-place finish in the seeded pole vault competition at the 14th Annual Youngstown State Icebreaker, presented by Southwoods Health, last Friday.

It is Rock's first time securing a PAC weekly award.

Rock cleared 3.90 meters (12-09.50) in the 13-competitor event, which ranks No. 3 on the indoor program's all-time performance list and is currently tied for the No. 1 mark in Division III this season.

Up next:
Westminster returns to action on Friday, Jan. 16 at Akron's Seventh Annual Al Campbell Invitational. Field events are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. with track events getting underway at 4:30 p.m.
