Women's swimming and diving falls at home

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College women's swimming and diving team lost to Wooster 194-67 Saturday afternoon.

Westminster fell to 3-3 in dual meet action while Wooster improved to 4-0.

Westminster opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 400 medley relay, registering a time of 4 minutes, 30.83 seconds. Members of the 'A' relay team included freshmen Olivia Schrock (Greensburg, Pa., Hempfield), Nina Nappo (Columbiana, Ohio, Columbiana) and Rachel Rospierski (Erie, Pa., Fairview), along with junior Maddy McClain (Elizabeth, Pa., Elizabeth Forward). 

McClain won the 200 free with a time of 2:05.26. She was second in the 500 free (5:35.41) and 100 IM (1:08.16). Nappo finished second in the 200 fly (2:31.22) and 100 fly (1:07.79) while Rospierski finished second in the 100 back (1:04.54) and third in the 50 free (26.78). Schrock was third in the 100 back (1:08.78) and 200 back (2:26.78) and junior Annabelle Turner (Butler, Pa., Butler) was third in the 200 fly (2:32.46).

Westminster concluded the meet with a third-place finish in the 400 free relay (4:19.49). Members of the 'A' relay team were freshmen Madison Alessio (Elizabeth, Pa., Elizabeth Forward), Emma Greene (Darlington, Pa., Blackhawk) and Brianna Reinhart (Pittsburgh, Pa., North Allegheny) and Turner. 

Up next:
Westminster will compete in the three-day Wooster Invitational Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 4-6. Swimming will take place at the Chris Matthew Aquatics Center and diving will be held at Timken Natatorium. Preliminaries begun at 10 a.m. all three days.
