Maloberti named PAC Defensive Player of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster College junior midfielder Emma Maloberti (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley) was named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Monday afternoon.

This is the first weekly award of Maloberti's career.

Maloberti worked both sides of the field for Westminster in a pair of shutouts last week. She had assists in the Titans' 7-0 win over Thiel on Wednesday night and Saturday afternoon's 2-0 victory at Bethany. Maloberti logged 54 minutes against the Tomcats and went a full 90 against the Bison. Her defensive work has helped Westminster post four league shutouts this season.

Westminster closes out the regular season hosting Washington & Jefferson College Wednesday. Kickoff at the UPMC Sports Complex is scheduled for 6 p.m.
