Westminster women lose to Hartford

Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C.--The Westminster College women's lacrosse team fell to the University of Hartford 20-8 Friday morning.

Hartford pushed its season record to 5-0. Westminster is 1-5.

Junior midfielder Nina Rascona (Somerset, Pa. | Somerset) and freshman attack Morgan Reidy (Pine City, N.Y. | Elmira) led Westminster with two goals apiece.

Junior midfielder Samantha Reed (Zionsville, Pa. | Emmaus) had one goal, four draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover. Senior midfielder Stephanie Cimini (Mars, Pa. | Mars) totaled had one goal, three ground balls, a draw control and one caused turnover. Freshman attack Haley Wenzel (Coppell, Texas | Coppell) scored a goal and added one draw control and one caused turnover. Senior defender Emiley Kushner (Cecil, Pa. | Canon-McMillan) finished with three ground balls and a caused turnover.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jade Hromanik (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Shaler) made six second half saves. She surpassed 100 career saves Friday.

Westminster hosts La Roche University Tuesday at the UPMC Sports Complex. The opening draw is set for 7 p.m.
