Westminster loses at Chatham

PITTSBURGH--The Westminster women's lacrosse team finished its regular season Saturday with a 15-6 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss at Chatham. 

Westminster is 9-7 overall and wrapped up conference play with a 6-3 record. The Titans enter next week's PAC Championship Tournament as the No. 4 seed. 

Chatham outscored Westminster 7-0 in the opening quarter and went into halftime leading 11-3. 

Senior Julia Ravazza (Twain Harte, Calif., Dublin) and graduate student Felicia Young (Darlington, Pa., Blackhawk) scored two goals each. Senior Michaela Neelin (Henrietta, N.Y., Rush Henrietta) and Chloe Courinos (Beaver Falls, Pa., Blackhawk) each finished with a goal. Senior Isabella Cespedes (Merrick, N.Y., Sanford H. Calhoun) and freshman Mady Warner (Concord Township, Ohio, Riverside) had three ground balls apiece. Neelin and Young caused a pair of turnovers each. 

Up next:
Westminster will host No. 5 Bethany (8-8, 4-5 PAC) in the quarterfinal round of the PAC Championship Tournament Tuesday at the UPMC Sports Complex. The opening draw is set for 6 p.m.
