NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Two members of the Westminster indoor track and field received Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Region honors for the month of January. Junior jumper Deondre McKeever (Youngstown, OH / Austintown-Fitch) was named the ECAC Field Athlete of the Month and first-year thrower Lexi Shiderly (New Castle, PA / Mohawk) was named Rookie of the Month.

McKeever improved his personal-best mark in the long jump with a leap of 21'2½" (6.46m.) at the Youngstown State University (YSU) National Mid-Major Invite. He also earned a 16th-place finish in long jump with a leap of 6.46m.

Shiderly broke what was at the time the school record in the shot put with a toss of 40' 10.25" (12.45m) for ninth-place at the YSU Invite. She was named PAC Women's Rookie Athlete of the Week on January 24.
