Box Score GROVE CITY, Pa. – The No. 3-seeded Westminster men's lacrosse team lost, 19-6, at No. 1 seed Grove City in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship game on Saturday.
Senior
Nick Trella (Moon Twp, PA / Moon Area) scored the first goal of the game following a nice spin move past the Grove City defense at the 13:31 mark. The Wolverines answered with two-straight goals to take their first lead of the game at 2-1 two minutes later. Sophomore
Hamish Mathwin (Marion, Australia / Westminster) tied up the game, 2-2, with a rocket shot to the back of the net after he received a pass from classmate
Boyd Foster (Lincoln, RI / Lincoln). Grove City, however, scored four unanswered goals to lead 6-2 after one.
Junior
Shawn Kernaghan (Denver, PA / Cocalico) scored the first goal of the second quarter after receiving a pass from Foster at 13:17, cutting Grove City's lead to 6-3. The Wolverines went on a 6-0 run to take a commanding 12-3 lead with six minutes left. Sophomore
Ryan Greer (Cranberry Twp, PA / Seneca Valley) scored Westminster's fourth goal (junior
Bennett Webster (Penfield, NY / Penfield) had the assist) with two minutes to play in the half. Grove City scored the last goal in the half and led 13-4. The Wolverines outscored the Titans 3-0 in the third quarter and led 16-4 at the end of three. Sophomore
Nick Hubner (Pittsburgh, PA / Plum) and Webster scored the final two goals for Westminster in the fourth quarter.

Mike Roman (Fort Washington, PA / Germantown Academy) led Westminster with seven ground balls, followed by senior
Romano Veneziano (Pittsburgh, PA / Pittsburgh Online Academy) with five. Sophomore goalkeeper
Connor Doyle (Glen Aubrey, NY / Whitney Point) collected 12 saves in 55 minutes of work.
