NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected sophomore
Isaac Stamatiades (Elkridge, MD/Avalon) as its Titan Athlete of the Week.
Stamatiades averaged a double-double last week for 2-0 Westminster. He averaged 13.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game in home wins over Washington & Jefferson and Saint Vincent. Stamatiades came off Westminster's bench to average 29.0 minutes per game. He logged the third double-double of his career Saturday against Saint Vincent, totaling a game-high 19 points and career-best 16 boards. Stamatiades hit a pair of three-pointers in overtime Saturday to help the Titans earn their fourth-straight win. He finished the week shooting 44.5 percent (4-of-9) from three-point range. Stamatiades was also named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
The Titans are back on the court, Wednesday, February 6 at Geneva College with a tip-off of 7:30 p.m.
