NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected the women's indoor track & field team as its "Titan Athletes of the Week."
Westminster won the 2015-16 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Indoor Track & Field Championship with 127.5 points on Thursday. Westminster ninth-year head coach
Tim McNeil was voted the league's Coach of the Year, while the Titans were also voted the PAC's Team Sportsmanship Award winners. Senior Marissa Kalsey (Waynesburg, PA / Waynesburg) won the pole vault with a PAC- and stadium-record mark of 13'2.50" (4.03m) for her fourth-straight league indoor title, while junior Keilah Ireland (Nashua, NH / Nashua North) won the high jump with a leap of 4'11.75" (1.52m), just short of the PAC record of 1.53 meters.
The NCAA Division III Indoor Nationals are set to begin on Friday, March 11 inGrinnell, Iowa.
