Box Score HIRAM, Ohio - The Westminster College men's soccer team tied Hiram College, 1-1, in double overtime on the road Tuesday night in both teams' season opener.

Senior Marcus Gurgiolo (Edinburg, PA / Mohawk), Westminster's leading scorer from a season ago, netted the lone Titan goal at the 27th minute. Sophomore Zack Walters (Hermitage, PA / Hickory) had the assist. Westminster led 1-0 at halftime before Hiram scored its only goal at the 56:54 mark off the foot of Bryan Burrows.

Titan senior goalkeeper Tyler Little (Slippery Rock, PA / Slippery Rock) went the complete game (110:00) and earned seven saves.

For the game, Hiram out-shot Westminster 18-13. Gurgiolo led the Titans with four shots, followed by senior Richard Beaudoin (Adamstown, MD / Tuscarora) and senior Ethan McCarthy (New Castle, PA / Neshannock) who each had two shots.

The physical match included a combined 32 fouls and three yellow cards. 

Westminster will host Penn State-Altoona on Friday at 6 p.m.
