NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's basketball team finished its season as the Titans lost, 81-64, to Waynesburg at home on Tuesday in the first round of the 2013-14 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament.

Westminster took its first double-digit lead, 24-14, when senior Gabby Holko (Pittsburgh, PA / Mt. Alvernia) drained two free throws with 9:17 on the clock. The Titans led 26-14, their largest lead, after a layup from senior Courtney Zitt (Latrobe, PA / Greater Latrobe) on their next possession. Waynesburg (15-11), however, rallied and orchestrated a 21-9 run and tied the game, 35-35, with 2:14 remaining. The Titans held a 38-35 halftime lead.

Tied 51-51 with 12:23 to play, the Yellow Jackets outscored the Titans 30-13 to finish the game. For the second half, Waynesburg out-shot Westminster 51.9% (14-27) to 28.1% (9-32).

Zitt led Westminster with 20 points (8-for-18). Titan freshman Rachel Durbin (Lowellville, OH / Lowellville) and Holko added 11 and 10 points, respectively. Durbin also tied career-high with seven boards. Westminster junior Allison Borts (Youngstown, OH / Boardman) led on the glass with a team-high 10 rebounds, while dishing out a game- and career-high five assists. Titan junior Courtney Klein (York, PA / Red Lion) scored seven points to go along with seven rebounds and a game-high three blocks. Westminster freshman Shelby Brown (New Castle, PA / Mohawk) added seven points.

Katie Gehlmann and Elaine Hasek led Waynesburg with 20 points each, while Hasek had a game-high 14 rebounds. For the game, Waynesburg out-rebounded Westminster, 58-36.  

Westminster finished the 2013-14 season with a 15-11 overall record and a 12-6 mark in the PAC. The Titans' 15 wins marked the most in six years.
