Men's Soccer: Unbeaten Behrend Shuts Out Westminster

ERIE, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team remains winless in six straight games after the Titans lost at Penn State Behrend, 2-0, Saturday in nonconference play for their third straight loss. The Titans are now 1-4-2 on the season while the Lions remain unbeaten at 4-0-3.

Brian Bodnar scored in the 16th minute to put Behrend on the board before Jake Gamble scored his fifth goal of the season in the 51st minute of the second half to seal the win for the Lions.

Senior goalkeeper Mike Codita (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) made six saves for Westminster as the Lions outshot the Titans 13-10. Chris Bolea made two saves for the shutout.

Junior forward Coty Hainsey (New Paris, Pa./Chestnut Ridge) and junior midfielder James Gross (McDonald, Pa./McGuffey) attempted three shots apiece for the Titans.

Westminster returns to action at Baldwin-Wallace on Saturday, Sept. 25 for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
