CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The Westminster College women's basketball team suffered a 79-42 loss at No. 12th-ranked Thomas More on Saturday in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action.
The Titans' record falls to 6-12 overall and 3-6 in the PAC, while the Saints improve to 17-2 overall and 9-1 in the league.
Freshman forward Emily Dolsak (McDonald, Ohio/McDonald) and junior guard Amy Dolsak (McDonald, Ohio/McDonald) led the Titans with eight points apiece, while Emily Dolsak led Westminster with six rebounds.
Gabby Johnson led Thomas More with 19 points, followed by Whitney Cundiff and Nicole Dickman with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Westminster committed 19 turnovers and only distributed six assists, while Thomas More had nine turnovers and 20 assists.
The Titans shot 30.4 percent (14-46) from the floor and the Saints shot 42.2 percent (27-64).
Thomas More went on a 15-0 run to end the first half with a 43-16 lead. The Saints held at least a 28-point lead the entire second half and led by as many as 40 points.
Westminster, losers of five straight games, will host Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
