Women's Basketball: Westminster Hangs On for Win Over Wooster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's basketball team held off visiting Wooster Monday night for a 62-60 non-conference win at the Buzz Ridl Gymnasium.

The Titans improve to 3-6 on the season and the Fighting Scots fall to 3-5.

After leading 33-28 at halftime, Westminster took a 16-point, 60-44 lead with 5:28 remaining in the game before Wooster stormed back and nearly won the game at the buzzer. Meredith Wilson attempted a 3-pointer from the right wing after Wooster in-bounded the ball with three seconds remaining.

Wilson's shot was deflected and went straight in the air. Westminster junior guard Amy Dolsak (McDonald, Ohio/McDonald) was credited with the block.
