Women's Soccer: Christina Adams Scores Three Goals in Two Minutes as Titans Throttle Waynesburg

WAYNESBURG, Pa. - Westminster College sophomore women's soccer player Christina Adams pulled off a remarkable feat in the Titans' 8-0 win over Waynesburg Saturday in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action.

Adams (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) had a career game with three goals, all of which within a two minute span. Adams had scored just four goals in her entire two-year college career entering the game.

She scored at the 58:42 mark in the second half on an assist from Mallory Bugel (Valencia, Pa./Mars), 53 seconds later she scored on an assist from Kait Etzel-Hardman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin), and 63 seconds after that as she completed the hat trick with an unassisted goal to give the Titans a 5-0 lead.

Senior forward Sarah Calderone (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) scored two goals, one in the 33rd minute and the other in the 62nd minute. Other goal scorers for the Titans were senior Christa Andamasaris (West Farmington, Ohio/Champion) in the 11th minute, freshman Sarah Park (Port Matilda, Pa./State College) in the 65th minute, and freshman Lauren Graeser (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) in the 74th minute.

The Titans out-shot the Yellow Jackets 31-4, as Westminster goalkeeper Lindsey Mellott (Cortland, Ohio/Lakeview) made all of the team's two saves in 77 minutes in net.

Westminster (5-3-1) returns to action Oct. 7 against Washington & Jefferson at 3 p.m.
