ERIE, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team played host Penn State Behrend to a 1-1 tie on Sunday in the final day of the Herb Lauffer Memorial Soccer Tournament.
The Titans (2-2-2) peppered Behrend goalkeeper Dustin Walker with 21 shots, forcing him to make 12 saves. Only freshman Brice Lott (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) was able to find the back of the net, as he opened the scoring on an unassisted goal in the 12th minute.
Westminster goalkeeper Anthony Beilstein (Butler, Pa./Knoch) faced 20 shots and made five saves. He yielded the tying goal in the 69th minute on a penalty kick by Behrend's Salim Ahmad.
The Titans were called with eight offsides infractions and 15 fouls, while the Lions (0-4-1) did not draw an offsides and had 10 fouls.
Junior forward Andrew Saporito (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) led the Titan with seven shots.
